Pomace and sunflower groats
Pomace is a side product from the production of vegetable oils from oilseeds. This practically is concentrated forage for agricultural animals with high protein content. It is a residue from the extraction process (normally by a pressing method) of vegetable oils from oilseeds (sunflower, rapeseed, flax, etc.)
Sunflower groats have a very important role in animal farming, as sunflowers are a major oilseed crop in our country. Sunflower groats contains on average 307 g protein and 175 g fibres per 1 kg.
